These trees were probably planted shortly after the reservoir was built around 1849. From here there are good views across the park and the surrounding countryside.

Early medieval stone cross, traditionally used as a place for buying and selling, standing at the intersection of two footpaths in Cheddleton.
Egg Well

Holy well or sacred spring, believed to have been used by the Romans. Stone surround built circa 1744, and a 19th century building encloses it.
The Hopestone

Natural gritstone outcrop thought to be the source of the name of Ipstones (upper stone, yppe stone or hope stone). Strange circular depressions of an unknown origin are present in the top surface.
The Roaches

I believe The Roaches is technically the name of one of the crags, rather than the actual summit.
