Corrections
Mistakes happen – in local reporting too. We take them seriously, correct them quickly and make our corrections visible. That is how BootMarket stays trustworthy.
How to report a mistake
- Under every news article there is a link for reporting a mistake or suggesting a correction – your report goes straight to the editorial team.
- Or use the contact form and tell us which page it is about.
- For business listings, owners can correct their details themselves at any time via “Claim this listing”.
How we correct
- Factual errors are fixed as quickly as possible – usually within one working day.
- For news, we correct the article itself and, for significant corrections, add a note at the end of the text.
- Content that may be legally problematic is taken down as a precaution.
- If we cannot confirm a story, we withdraw it – and say that we have done so.
Standards and complaints
We work to the principles common to the recognised UK press codes: accuracy, a clear line between fact and comment, respect for privacy and prompt correction. BootMarket is not a member of a press regulator, so please send any complaint to us through the contact form – we read every one and tell you what we have done.
