Catering Manager

Cygnet Victoria House in Darlington, County Durham, is a 26-bed mental health inpatient service for men that forms part of Cygnet Health Care’s national network of specialist facilities. The role of Catering Manager involves overseeing all catering operations across the two wards, ensuring meals meet nutritional standards while delivering a positive experience for service users, staff and visitors.

The position requires a qualified professional holding an NVQ Level 2 in Food Production or an equivalent credential, together with at least five years of experience in catering management. Candidates must demonstrate detailed knowledge of food safety legislation, strong operational and line-management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Essential duties include supervising catering staff, managing budgets and purchasing, planning menus, maintaining hygiene standards and producing cost and sales analyses.

The role is permanent, full-time and offers a fixed salary of £25,992 per year, equivalent to £14.44 per hour for a 44-hour week.
