Chief Executive

The role of Chief Executive at Weston Hospicecare Limited offers a unique chance to steer one of the South West’s most respected hospice charities through its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Chair and Board of Trustees, the position is based at Jackson-Barstow House in Weston-super-Mare and involves leading a team of around 170 staff and 800 volunteers while shaping the future of specialist palliative and end-of-life care across North Somerset. The successful candidate will drive strategic development, strengthen partnerships with NHS and local authority bodies, and ensure the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability.

Applicants must hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, with evidence of continuous professional development, and will be expected to demonstrate significant leadership experience at board or executive level, including a proven record in strategic and financial management and organisational change. Desirable qualifications include a postgraduate credential in leadership, health or business management and membership of a professional body.
