About this role The position offers a permanent role within the Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust, based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, working as part of a small, friendly multidisciplinary team that provides psychological interventions for children and young people with eating disorders and their families. The role is split between the Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich sites, with opportunities to collaborate across the wider eating disorders service.
The employer seeks a qualified clinical psychologist with a postgraduate degree accredited by the BPS, current UK professional registration, and essential experience at Band 7 level, including the ability to clinically supervise trainee psychologists. Essential skills include the communication of sensitive information to families and professionals, and expertise in complex psychological assessment and intervention, particularly within systemic and CBT frameworks. Desirable experience includes CPD in specialised areas of practice. The role provides regular clinical supervision, specialist training such as CBT for eating disorders, and opportunities for professional development, including preceptorship.
The post operates under a permanent contract with flexible working arrangements, including part-time and compressed hours, and is covered by the Agenda for Change pay scheme at Band 8a, with a salary range of £57,528 to £64,750 per year pro rata.
