About this role
The role is based in Stockton on Tees within the North Tees Intensive Home Treatment Team, part of the Mental Health & Learning Disability service delivered by Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. The position involves leading on professional development, delivering evidence-based practice, and maintaining high nursing standards in line with the NMC code. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership within the Tees Crisis Service, support service users and their families, and contribute to quality improvement and governance frameworks, working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The post operates on an 8am to 6pm roster for four shifts across a seven-day week and requires collaboration with internal and external agencies to prevent hospital admissions and support recovery.
Applicants must hold current NMC registration as an RMN, RNLD, or RGN, with significant experience as a band 6 or above in a relevant clinical area, supplemented by postgraduate study at level 7 such as a Masters or equivalent. Essential knowledge includes the Mental Health Act, mental capacity legislation, safeguarding, clinical risk management, and psychological models of care. Experience in managing complex needs and risk behaviours within multidisciplinary teams is required, alongside evidence of ongoing professional development. The role offers a permanent contract within Agenda for Change Band 7, with a salary range of £49,387 to £56,515 per year, and closes on 18 October 2026.
