About this role
The role is a permanent consultant post at Kettering General Hospital, part of University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, working within a team of 13 obstetricians and gynaecologists who each hold a special interest. The post is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire, and involves providing obstetric and gynaecological services across the hospital’s two recently redeveloped theatres and the new Rockingham Wing development. The position offers a salary between £113,565 and £150,569 per annum, inclusive of London weighting, and follows a full-time contract within the NHS hospital medical and dental staff pay structure.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration and MRCOG, or equivalent specialist qualifications recognised by the GMC, with entry onto the GMC Specialist Register required or eligibility to join within six months of appointment. Desirable experience includes advanced labour ward practice, ultrasound skills, ambulatory gynaecology, and involvement in clinical audit or governance. The role requires experience in high-risk obstetrics, minimal access surgery, infertility, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, and uro-gynaecology, with opportunities to develop specialist interests within a well-equipped postgraduate education centre and modern facilities.
