Consultant Psychiatrist

A Consultant Psychiatrist is sought for a permanent position at Pinhoe View, a 36-bed inpatient facility in Exeter, Devon. The role involves delivering clinical care to adults with enduring mental health conditions within a multidisciplinary team of nursing, occupational therapy, psychology and social work staff, while contributing to the strategic development of services alongside another full-time Consultant and two Associate Specialists. Essential qualifications include MRCPsych (or equivalent) and Section 12(2) approval with Approved Clinician status; a CCT/CESR in General Adult psychiatry is desirable, and extensive acute inpatient experience is mandatory. Candidates must be able to assume full clinical responsibility, manage complex cases, lead care planning and participate in MDT meetings, care reviews and on-call duties.
