About this role

The role is a fixed-term crisis clinician within the Darlington Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team, based at West Park Hospital in Darlington. The post is part of the 24-hour, seven-day service that delivers intensive home treatment and crisis intervention as an alternative to acute admissions, and it is classified under Band 6 of the Agenda for Change pay scale. Candidates must hold current professional registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE, have at least 18 months of post-qualifying experience that includes a signed sign-off of a preceptorship or competency framework, and demonstrate competence in clinical supervision, teaching and assessment. Essential skills include the ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, communicate sensitively with service users and carers, write reports and use approved breakaway techniques; desirable qualifications include a leadership or management credential or a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
