About this role
About this role The position is a permanent Deputy Director of Nursing for Clinical Capital Projects and Workforce Transformation within the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Lincoln County Hospital in Lincoln. The role sits within the Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group, which is undertaking a major transformation of its acute hospital estate and community services across Lincolnshire. The postholder will act as the senior clinical link between nursing, midwifery, allied health professionals and the trust’s estates and capital teams, ensuring that clinical needs shape new-build projects, refurbishments and service redesign.
The role requires a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare leadership or a closely related field, or equivalent senior-level experience, and proven strategic leadership in workforce transformation and major organisational change. Essential skills include the ability to translate complex clinical pathways into design and operational specifications, manage high-level programme complexity, and influence estate planning from a clinical perspective. Desirable qualifications include project or programme management credentials and experience in healthcare planning or clinical design.
The post is graded at Band 8d within the Agenda for Change pay scheme, with an annual salary of £94,356 to £108,814. Applications must be submitted through the original advert by the closing date of 15 October 2026.
