About this role
About this role The Telford Langley School seeks a Deputy Headteacher with a focus on behaviour to join its senior leadership team from January 2027. The role is based in Telford, Shropshire and reports to the school’s leadership structure. It is a full-time position on the Leadership Scale L20-L24, with an annual salary of £85,547 to £94,349.
The school is looking for a senior leader with a proven record of improving whole-school behaviour and pastoral support. The candidate must be able to lead a consistent approach to conduct, rewards and interventions, using data to target support for vulnerable pupils. Strong relationship-building with staff, families and external agencies is essential, as is the ability to combine strategic thinking with operational oversight. Experience in safeguarding, inclusive education and driving measurable improvements in school climate is required. The role offers access to Trust-wide professional development, collaborative networks across primary and secondary schools and a supportive community committed to inclusive practice.
