Learning Support Assistant (FAR130 & 132BC)

Farndon Fields Primary School seeks two Learning Support Assistants to join its early years and key stage one teams in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The role involves working 32.5 hours each week across 39 weeks of the academic year, with shifts running from 08:30 to 15:30 Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Candidates will be on a fixed-term contract that ends on 20 August 2027. The advertised salary ranges from £26,022 to £26,436 per year, corresponding to Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8, with an approximate starting figure of £19,555.86 annually.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or be able to meet the equivalent STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards. Experience of supporting teaching and learning within a school setting is essential, as is a solid grasp of child protection and health and safety procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage young learners are required.
