About this role
The role is a permanent Band 6 Mental Health Liaison Practitioner within the Mental Health Liaison Team, a psychiatric liaison service based at three acute hospitals in Coventry, Nuneaton and Warwick. The post is part of an expansion funded to strengthen the multidisciplinary team and develop services in line with NHS 5-year Forward View targets for a CORE 24 model.
Applicants must be nurses, social workers or occupational therapists registered with the HCPC and hold a current professional registration. Essential experience includes work in adult mental health, learning disability or older adult mental health, multi-disciplinary team collaboration, clinical risk assessment and a demonstrable ability to communicate effectively. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, as is willingness to work flexible shifts across nights and weekends at the three sites. The salary ranges from £39,959 to £48,117 per annum under Agenda for Change, and the closing date for applications is 10 October 2026.
