About this role

The role is based at the Royal Stoke site of University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stoke on Trent and involves supporting the senior network engineers in maintaining the Trust’s internal data and telephony systems. The position is part of the permanent Network Services Team and offers a salary of £39,959 to £48,117 per year under the Agenda for Change pay scheme, with full-time hours and the opportunity to contribute to projects that improve service continuity across the Trust’s two hospital sites.

Applicants must hold a relevant first degree or equivalent experience and have hands-on knowledge of Cisco telephony platforms such as CUCM, as well as experience with cloud services like Microsoft Teams. Essential skills include network troubleshooting using LAN TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, QoS and security protocols, alongside proven responsibility for financial or physical assets and familiarity with clinical environments. The role also requires a willingness to undertake training, contribute to performance reviews, and travel between sites, with a Disclosure and Barring Service check mandatory for appointment.
