About this role
The role is a permanent, full-time Consultant Psychiatrist based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, working within Elysium Healthcare’s neurological service. The position involves delivering specialist care to survivors of acquired brain injury, individuals with neurodegenerative disorders and complex physical health needs, often under the Mental Health Act or Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Referrals come from psychiatric hospitals, prisons and the courts. The successful candidate will lead the multidisciplinary team, conduct unit rounds, assess referrals, chair Care and Treatment Reviews, attend Managers’ Panel Hearings and Mental Health Review Tribunals, and provide regular supervision to junior staff. Applicants must be medically qualified with a recognised psychiatric qualification, hold an active medical licence and be able to demonstrate experience in managing complex cases and leading a clinical team.
The advertised package offers a competitive salary, a £5,000 car allowance, up to £8,000 relocation support, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a birthday, a Group Personal Pension Plan with employer contributions, enhanced maternity provisions, free meals on duty and access to employee assistance and wellbeing programmes.
