Teacher Y5/6 0.6 maternity cover

Chelford CE Primary School seeks an inspiring and compassionate teacher to cover a Year 5/6 maternity leave. The role is part of a job-share, requiring three days per week working alongside the Headteacher. Candidates may be recently qualified or experienced, provided they are eager to make a positive difference to pupils’ personal, social and academic development.

Applicants should have a strong commitment to safeguarding and to fostering emotional wellbeing, as happy children learn best. The successful teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons, especially in writing, aiming for greater depth standards at the end of Year 6. Experience with the school’s 1:1 iPad programme and a willingness to use technology to enhance learning are essential. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis with part-time hours, and a competitive salary within the local authority pay band is provided, together with access to continuing professional development.
