About this role
A Consultant will lead the planning and delivery of postgraduate paediatric training across ST4-8 in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The position sits within the Thames Valley Local Office of NHS England and reports to the Head of School, working alongside a multi-professional team to improve learner supervision, assessment and overall training experience.
The ideal candidate is an NHS-qualified consultant with a fellowship of the relevant college, who already works within the Thames Valley region and has demonstrable experience of educational leadership, curriculum development and managing training programmes. Essential requirements include a licence to practise, proven ability to engage trainees and trainers, and strong communication and organisational skills. Desirable experience includes prior roles in healthcare education leadership and familiarity with education funding streams.
