Ward Manager

The role is a six-month secondment as Ward Manager of Paddington Ward at Northampton General Hospital, covering the paediatric medical ward, the High Dependency Unit and the Medical Day Case Unit. The position is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient paediatric medical care and incorporates the High Dependency Unit and Medical Day Case Unit.

Applicants must be registered children's nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, hold a current PIN and have substantial acute paediatric experience at Band 6 or above, ideally with more than three years in acute settings and at least one year at Band 6. Evidence of leadership training, APLS or EPLS certification, and experience in team management, governance and safeguarding are essential. The role offers a fixed-term contract with a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum, progression to Band 7 experience and full support from a senior leadership team.
