Leeds Tykes

About Leeds Tykes

Competing in National 1, Leeds Tykes stage their home fixtures at The Sycamores, the ground shared with West Park Leeds RUFC, and trace their roots back to 1878. On the field the club fields senior squads that feature in weekly match reports and squad announcements, such as those published for the 2 October fixtures. The team’s playing style is described as competitive, with a clear aim of progressing toward higher league positions. Beyond the pitch, Leeds Tykes cultivates a network of players, sponsors, volunteers and supporters. Recent partnerships include a sponsorship agreement with Aagrah and the launch of Titan Wealth’s Sports Division, both of which are highlighted as part of the club’s broader community engagement. Match-day hospitality is offered to spectators, providing a setting for supporters to watch the Tykes while enjoying food and drink. Local involvement can take several forms: attending matches at The Sycamores, contributing through corporate sponsorship, or joining the volunteer programme that supports club operations. The club also maintains a news feed to keep the community informed of fixtures, results and developments. By linking sport with community activity, Leeds Tykes provides a focal point for rugby enthusiasts throughout Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area.
