About this role
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in electronic dispensing (EDC) to join its expanding clinical pharmacy team at the main hospital site in Manchester. The role is based on a full-time fixed-term contract for 12 months, working across the Trust’s oncology services, including inpatient wards, dispensaries, satellite pharmacies and peripheral sites within the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network. The postholder will contribute to the rollout of the EPMA electronic prescribing system, provide specialist medicine advice, and support safe, cost-effective use of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.
Applicants must hold a pharmacy qualification, be registered with the GPhC, and possess experience in clinical pharmacy within an oncology setting. While independent prescribing qualification is desirable, the Trust supports development in this area. The position offers a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum, pro rata, under the Agenda for Change pay scheme, with opportunities for professional growth and training. Weekend and Bank Holiday rotas, including EDC duties, are required as part of the service commitment. Applications must be submitted by 16 October 2026 via the original advert.
