Clinical Skills Tutor Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Preston, Lancashire

The role involves planning, delivering and evaluating clinical skills teaching for undergraduate medical students within a busy teaching Trust. You will work as part of the Clinical Skills Education Team, collaborating with colleagues and the University of Manchester to design and run sessions that include practical instruction, simulation and assessment of core procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation and urinary catheterisation. The position is based at the Education Centre 2 on the Royal Preston Hospital site and forms part of the Undergraduate Medical Education Team.

Applicants should be a qualified healthcare professional with strong communication and organisational abilities, able to demonstrate experience in teaching, coaching or mentoring within clinical practice. Formal teaching qualifications are not required, but a commitment to developing others and maintaining up-to-date clinical competence is essential. The post is permanent, paid on the Agenda for Change scale at Band 6 with a salary of £39,959 to £48,117 per annum, and is offered on a part-time basis.
