About this role
The role requires a qualified mental health professional to deliver community-based care to service personnel at a Department of Community Mental Health site in Wrexham. The position involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining electronic records and collaborating with medical officers and general practitioners. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions, participate in clinical supervision and contribute to health governance initiatives within the Defence medical framework.
Essential requirements include current BLS, anaphylaxis and AED certification, two years’ experience in mental health care and registration with either the UK Council for Psychotherapy or the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside accreditation in NICE-recommended therapies such as CBT. Applicants must hold valid medical indemnity insurance, complete safeguarding training up to Level 3 and demonstrate competence in delivering evidence-based treatments.
