Ward Clerk, Mother and Baby Unit, Chester The role is based at Seren Lodge Mother and Baby Unit on the Countess of Chester Health Park site, working within a newly opened specialist team that supports women experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy and the first year after birth. The position is part of a collaborative NHS England and NHS Wales initiative and involves providing administrative support to a multidisciplinary team delivering inpatient care for up to eight mothers and their infants.
The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours per week in a permanent capacity, with a salary ranging from £25,760 to £27,476 per annum, pro rata. The post follows the Agenda for Change pay framework and offers progression within Band 3. Applicants must hold a good standard of general education, including GCSE-level English, and possess an RSA II Typing qualification or equivalent. Demonstrating alignment with the Trust’s core values—particularly the six C’s of Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment—is essential. Experience in a healthcare or administrative setting, especially within mental health services, would be advantageous.
