Locum Consultant Physician - Respiratory Medicine

The role is a fixed-term locum consultant physician in respiratory medicine, based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in Liverpool, Merseyside. The post is part of a busy respiratory medicine team within the hospital’s Medicine Directorate, working alongside senior clinicians to manage complex acute respiratory cases. The position involves leading care for up to 28 ward patients and overseeing 10 acute respiratory beds, including six dedicated NIV beds. The successful candidate will contribute to specialist clinics, including bronchoscopy, pleural disease, ILD, pulmonary infection and lung cancer services, and will have opportunities to develop the newly established NIV unit. Research involvement is encouraged, with access to ongoing projects within the department. The contract runs for six months, with full-time hours and a salary between £113,565 and £150,569 per annum, plus a 3% on-call supplement.
