Deputy SARC Manager - West Midlands SARC

About this role The position is a permanent full-time Deputy SARC Manager based at the Horizon SARC in Birmingham, B36 8DB, working within the West Midlands Adult sites under BCP. It involves supporting the SARC Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a multi-agency sexual assault referral centre, managing a team and budget, and ensuring compliance with national standards for rape and sexual assault care.

The role requires managerial experience and a driving licence, and it is limited to female applicants under a genuine occupational qualification. Essential duties include coordinating service delivery, leading staff recruitment and training, monitoring performance, maintaining forensic equipment and medicines, and fostering relationships with police, commissioners and community partners. Desirable experience includes prior forensic examination training and awareness of SARC commissioning. The post offers a fixed annual salary of £31,104 and includes full training and development opportunities.
