Story Wood School in Birmingham seeks a Family Support Worker to provide direct, day-to-day safeguarding, attendance and behaviour leadership within a primary setting. The role sits within a small pastoral team, reporting to the Deputy Headteacher who leads safeguarding and works alongside the SENCO to coordinate early help for pupils with complex needs. Responsibilities include acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, carrying out home visits to engage families, delivering nurture groups and mentoring sessions, and supporting the implementation of behaviour and attendance strategies.
