ECT Support Worker

The ECT Support Worker role is based at the Glenbourne Unit in Plymouth, delivering hands-on assistance within an established electroconvulsive therapy team. The position involves preparing treatment rooms, checking equipment, maintaining patient privacy and dignity, and ensuring all consent and care documentation complies with mental health legislation. The successful candidate will liaise with ward staff, community teams and medical professionals, and will act as a point of contact for the wider ECTAS network while supporting patients and their families before and after treatment.

Applicants must have experience in mental health settings, a solid understanding of physical health monitoring, and the ability to work flexibly across a seven-day service. The role is offered on a permanent, part-time or job-share basis within Agenda for Change Band 3, with a salary of £25,760 to £27,476 pro-rata.
