ERP Teaching Assistant

Hearsall Community Academy seeks an ERP Teaching Assistant to provide specialist support within its special educational needs provision, working directly with primary-aged pupils under the guidance of a class teacher. The position is based in Coventry and involves undertaking specified work that includes care, supervision and the use of advanced knowledge to meet the individual needs of children.

Applicants must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience, together with a good standard of education that includes GCSE English and Maths at Level 2. Essential experience includes working with primary-aged pupils in a classroom setting, strong behaviour-management skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding is required, with knowledge of KCSIE part 1 and the willingness to complete regular child-protection training. The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week) and follows the school’s term-time calendar, with an additional five days.

The post offers a salary of £23,026 – £26,343 per annum (actual) – equivalent to £25,989 – £29,540 for a full-time equivalent – and is situated within Grade 4 of the school’s pay structure.
