The role requires directing and controlling the administration function at Aberbeeg Hospital, ensuring cost-effective delivery of reception, secretarial, medical records and related services. You will supervise reception operations, provide secretarial support to managers, oversee the Mental Health Act department, and coordinate staffing across all administrative areas including HR, finance and complaints. Responsibilities include managing leave requests, maintaining personnel files, producing audits, and ensuring compliance with systems such as Doors, Traka, Blicks, Key and CCTV. Working alongside senior staff, you will maintain expenditure within budgetary limits and uphold Elysium’s policies.
Essential requirements include secretarial or HR administration experience, NVQ Level 3 Business Administration, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Word processing (50 wpm) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Supervisory experience and knowledge of office equipment are also required.
