The role is based at Hammersmith Hospital in London and is part of the Haematology Pharmacy Team within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. It focuses on providing specialist pharmaceutical care in the Haematology Day Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit, working with patients receiving complex treatments such as CAR-T therapy, HSCT and other systemic anti-cancer therapies. The position is part of an established job-share arrangement and involves close collaboration with consultants, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Essential experience includes clinical verification of medicines, use of electronic prescribing systems such as Cerner, and the ability to communicate therapeutic recommendations effectively. Desirable experience includes managing change, holding an independent prescriber qualification, and possessing a BOPA Digital SACT verification Passport or equivalent accreditation for CAR-T and HSCT treatments. The role operates within Band 8a of the Agenda for Change pay scale, offering a salary between £66,274 and £73,496 per year pro rata, and is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
