Locum Consultant in Neurology

The role is for a Locum Consultant Neurologist within the Neurology Department of Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, Surrey. The position is fixed-term for 12 months and forms part of a dynamic team of six Consultants, two SpRs and two Clinical Nurse Specialists delivering outpatient clinics and inpatient ward cover across the Trust’s acute services.

Essential requirements include full GMC registration, an MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification and MRCP or FRCP or equivalent specialist qualification. Essential experience comprises broad general neurology practice, demonstrable clinical leadership and extensive work within General Internal Medicine, including multidisciplinary team engagement. Desirable experience includes out-of-programme management or subspecialty interests in related medical fields. The post offers a salary of £113,565 to £150,569 per annum, dependent on experience, and operates on a full-time basis.
