Mental Health Practitioner

The role involves joining the Exeter City Core Community Mental Health Team within Devon Partnership NHS Trust as a registered mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker, delivering person-centred care to adults with complex needs across a caseload in the community.

Applicants must hold a current professional registration as an RMN, OT or social worker, and newly qualified social workers are required to have completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment or to achieve this within their first year. Essential experience includes work with severe and enduring mental health conditions, collaboration within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams, and the ability to assess risk, manage time and prioritise tasks. Desirable experience covers caseload management, mentorship of students, and a solid grasp of recovery principles and the Community Mental Health Framework.

The substantive full-time position offers a salary of £32,073 to £39,043 per year, a permanent contract and flexible or hybrid working arrangements, with opportunities for professional development and support from a preceptorship scheme.
