Midday Supervisory Assistant

The role of Midday Supervisory Assistant at Greenfield & Pulloxhill Academy in Bedford is centred on supporting pupils’ personal and social development during the midday period. Working within the school’s routine, the position involves overseeing students before, during and after the midday meal, ensuring safe movement into the dining area and maintaining hygiene standards through hand-washing supervision. The post holder assists pupils with eating, helps with carrying trays and clearing tables, and provides guidance on the use of cutlery, adapting support to meet individual needs. In addition, the role includes organising play and activities on wet days, managing minor first-aid situations and responding to any incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy.

The position is offered on a part-time basis at a rate of £13.28 per hour, with hours to be worked across the midday period.
