About this role
The Practice Education Facilitator will join the Allied Health Professions Practice Education Team in Worthing, providing maternity-leave cover and maintaining high-quality clinical placements for pre-registration AHPs across mental health and learning disability services. The role involves supporting managers, practice educators, students and apprentices, working with health-education providers and exploring innovative ways to expand placement capacity, including digital solutions, leadership development and research initiatives. Candidates must hold a recognised AHP qualification, be registered with the HCPC and have recent continuing-professional-development evidence, alongside substantial post-registration experience and proven mentorship or practice-education skills. Experience in change management, audit and report writing, and a solid understanding of NHS legislation and AHP education frameworks are essential, as is the ability to teach, assess and give constructive feedback in both one-to-one and group settings. The post is offered on a permanent, part-time basis of 30 hours per week within Band 7, with a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum, and includes access to the Agenda for Change pay scheme and related benefits.
