Practice Nurse with Special Interest in Diabetes at Broadwater Medical Centre in Worthing, West Sussex, is a permanent part-time position reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager and the practice partners. The role requires NMC registration and at least two years of post-registration experience, with duties centred on the evidence-based management of diabetic patients, including annual reviews, insulin transfer follow-up and complex case support. In addition, the nurse will provide chronic disease management for asthma, COPD and cardiac conditions, carry out cervical screening, childhood immunisations and ear syringing, and perform routine clinical tasks such as wound care, leg-ulcer dressing and specimen collection. Administrative responsibilities include workload planning, accurate record-keeping and contributing to quality improvement and service development within the practice.
