About this role
A Professional Development Manager is needed to help shape and deliver learning and development programmes that build the skills and future readiness of the NHS People Profession. The role sits within the NHS Transforming People Services programme and will work across Greater London offices, collaborating with NHS organisations, professional networks and external partners to identify development needs and share best practice. The postholder will design and manage learning initiatives, evaluate their impact and ensure they meet emerging workforce priorities.
The role requires a master’s level qualification or equivalent senior experience, and a CIPD Level 5 or equivalent in HR and organisational development, or progression toward it. Essential experience includes senior-level work in HR or OD within the NHS, designing and delivering learning and development programmes, and using data and feedback to improve such offers. Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to work collaboratively across organisations are also required.
The position is offered on a fixed-term basis for 22 months, full-time, with a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum. Applications close on 18 October 2026 and must be submitted through the original advert.
