Radiology Assistant – Band 2 at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is based at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, Greater Manchester and involves supporting radiology services across trauma and orthopaedic imaging, general x-ray, theatre and interventional radiology, as well as specialist ultrasound, CT and nuclear medicine procedures. The role requires a permanent, full-time appointment of 37.5 hours per week, working flexible hours that include evenings and weekend shifts to meet the department’s 7-day pattern.
The position is covered by the Agenda for Change pay scale, with a salary ranging from £24,169 to £25,272 per annum, pro rata for part-time work. Annual leave entitlement is between 27 and 33 days plus bank holidays, and the role offers access to the NHS pension scheme, staff discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme and other salary-sacrifice benefits. Essential qualifications include the Care Certificate, and desirable qualifications are NVQ level 3 study, GCSEs or equivalents, with desirable knowledge of radiology and healthcare, computer literacy and prior healthcare experience.
