The role is a 9-month fixed-term appointment of 30 hours per week, covering a secondment within the North Staffordshire Integrated Community Stroke Service. You will manage a complex stroke caseload, carrying out specialist assessments, setting goals and delivering therapeutic interventions that follow a biopsychosocial model. Working across a seven-day shift pattern, you will travel independently to serve the local community and contribute to multidisciplinary training, risk assessments, safeguarding documentation and quality-driven research initiatives.
Essential qualifications include a degree in occupational therapy, registration with the HCPC and evidence of continuing professional development. Desirable experience comprises specialist stroke knowledge, MOCA or Bobath training and expertise in cognitive rehabilitation, behavioural management and risk prevention. You should demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and a commitment to the Trust’s values of inclusivity and compassionate care.
