Trust Doctor ST3+ in Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgery

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trust Doctor ST3+ in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to join its team at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, with clinical work also carried out at Worthing Hospital and possibly at Princess Royal Hospital and the Royal Sussex County Hospital. The role involves outpatient clinics, minor oral surgery under local anaesthetic, assisting Consultant operating lists and participation in a non-resident on-call rota shared among a small group of Specialty Doctors and Registrars. Applicants must hold a dental or medical degree, be fully registered with the GMC or GDC and hold an Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK. Experience in managing dental pathology, performing surgical extractions and undertaking intra-oral biopsies is essential, while a higher degree is desirable. The post is fixed-term for 12 months, full-time, with a salary of £67,325 per year.
