The Avro Heritage Museum occupies the former fire-station of Woodford Aerodrome in Woodford, Greater Manchester, England. Set on the site of the historic aerodrome, the museum opened to the public on 13 November 2015 after a redevelopment funded by BAE as part of the aerodrome’s sale for redevelopment. The display includes a series of murals formerly situated in the employee restaurant at Woodford. The museum’s location within the former aerodrome complex makes it a focal point for those interested in the region’s aviation legacy, and recent planning approval in January 2026 confirms that an expansion is forthcoming.
