About this role
The role is based at Stanley Primary Care Centre in County Durham, working within the North base of the Durham and Darlington CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service. It involves carrying out specialist neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people where autism or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder may be suspected, contributing to diagnostic decision-making and formulation, and delivering feedback to families and other agencies. The post is permanent and may be offered at Band 7 with the possibility of progression to Band 8a, with a salary ranging from £49,387 to £64,750 per year. Applicants must have experience of working with children and young people with autism and attentional difficulties, a solid understanding of assessment processes for autism and ADHD, and experience administering standardised assessments; knowledge of specialist assessment tools is advantageous. Experience in complex formulation, supervision, service evaluation and responding to organisational change is required, as is willingness to travel across County Durham and Darlington.
