About this role
The Neurodevelopmental Pathway in Selby CAMHS, part of Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a registered professional to undertake specialist autism diagnostic assessments for children and young people. The role is based in Selby, East Riding of Yorkshire, and forms part of a multidisciplinary team delivering child-centred assessments within a service committed to compassionate, collaborative care. Candidates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and hold a recognised practice qualification, with at least 18 months of post-qualifying experience that includes sign-off of a competency framework. Experience in clinical supervision, multidisciplinary teamwork, and quality improvement is essential, alongside knowledge of safeguarding, mental health legislation, and clinical risk management. Familiarity with the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) is desirable, with training available for those without these skills. The position offers a permanent contract within Band 6 of the Agenda for Change pay scale, with a salary range of £39,959 to £48,117 per year.
