About this role
About this role The role is a permanent Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner position based at Llandudno General Hospital, Conwy, within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The post involves carrying out Choice and Partnership work under the CAPA model, delivering evidence based assessments and interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties, and providing consultation and training to frontline staff. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contribute to early intervention programmes, and travel across the Conwy and Denbighshire area as required.
Applicants must be a qualified mental health nurse, learning disability nurse, social worker, occupational therapist or psychologist registered with the appropriate regulator, and must be eligible to practice under the Mental Health Measure Wales 2010. Essential experience includes post registration work with children, young people and families in a health or social care setting, and specialist postgraduate experience in mental health. Desirable qualifications include additional training in therapeutic approaches such as EMDR or formal qualifications in child development or mental health. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
