Clinical Psychologist - Fixed term (Mat cover)

A Clinical Psychologist position is available at Emerald Place Clinic in Charlwood, Surrey, working within a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient care for adolescents aged 12 to 18. The role involves delivering evidence-based individual and group psychological interventions, conducting diagnostic and cognitive assessments, and contributing to risk assessments and care planning. The psychologist will facilitate reflective practice sessions, design and deliver training for staff, and manage a complex therapy caseload, including work with young people experiencing eating disorders, trauma, and neurodivergence. The team values clinical development, offering access to training, external courses, and peer supervision to support professional growth.

The role requires a doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and active registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience in working with adolescents with complex mental health needs is essential, with specific knowledge of eating disorders and comorbidities considered desirable. Prior experience in supervising junior team members and managing full clinical responsibility within a multidisciplinary setting is also required.
