About this role

About this role The position is a permanent, full-time role based in Charlwood, Surrey, working within Emerald Place Clinic’s 12-bed adolescent inpatient unit. The role involves delivering trauma-informed psychiatric care, conducting assessments, formulating treatment plans and providing senior clinical leadership for young people aged 13 to 18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

The employer is seeking a qualified professional who holds an MBBS or equivalent recognised by the General Medical Council, is fully registered with a licence to practise, and is on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Approved Clinician status under the Mental Health Act 1983 is required, or the ability to obtain it within an agreed timeframe. Experience in inpatient CAMHS, risk assessment, multidisciplinary team working and clinical governance is essential. Additional postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists are preferred, along with demonstrable experience in teaching, audit and service improvement.
