HCA Recruitment & Retention Officer - Band 6

The HCA Recruitment & Retention Officer will work from Seax House in Chelmsford, supporting the NHS Essex Integrated Care Board’s HCA Academy. The role focuses on attracting, onboarding and retaining healthcare assistants across the county through recruitment campaigns, careers events and outreach, as well as coordinating induction programmes and CPD sessions. Working with partners including EPUT and MSEFT, the officer will develop sustainable workforce pipelines and provide pastoral support to candidates throughout their journey.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in recruitment and retention within health or social care, with a track record of designing and delivering outreach initiatives. A relevant professional qualification and registration with a recognised body are required, along with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences. The fixed-term position offers a salary of £39,959 to £48,117 per year, working full-time in a hybrid model with some Essex-based travel.
