Healthcare & Therapy Assistant - REACT

About this role The position is a permanent Healthcare & Therapy Assistant working within the REACT team in Ipswich, supporting adults in their own homes across East Suffolk. The role involves delivering one-to-one reablement care, assisting with personal care, medication administration and basic observations, and travelling to patients’ addresses using a full UK driving licence and a vehicle. Shifts are early and late on weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, and mileage is reimbursed.

The employer seeks candidates with at least 12 months of care experience in an NHS setting, a valid NHS Care Certificate, a Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence. Essential knowledge includes awareness of patients’ physical, psychological and spiritual needs, clinical procedures and relevant legislation. Desirable experience includes NHS practice and the ability to support junior staff.
