Healthcare Support Worker (Term time only)

About this role The position is a part-time Healthcare Support Worker within Oxford Health NHS Trust’s School Aged Immunisation Service, based at the East Oxford Health Centre in Oxford. The role is term-time only and involves 22.5 hours a week of flexible work, including early starts, occasional evenings and weekend sessions, and travel across Oxfordshire to schools and community clinics.

Applicants must be experienced Healthcare Support Workers with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and recent experience at NHS Career Framework Level 3 or above. Essential experience includes supporting or delivering vaccination programmes, administering flu vaccines under supervision, and managing vaccine storage and disposal. Strong administrative and clinical skills, good communication, and the ability to drive a car for travel between sites are required. Essential criteria also cover proven ability to handle challenging conversations with children or parents, and experience of providing compassionate support to anxious patients.

The role is offered on a permanent basis under the Agenda for Change pay band 3, with a salary of £25,760 to £27,476 per year pro rata.
