Lunchtime Supervisor

About this role The Lunchtime Supervisor posts are based at Rowan Gate Primary School’s Wellingborough site, where the successful candidates will oversee lunch arrangements for pupils with additional needs. The duties include preparing the hall or classrooms before meals, supporting feeding and toileting where needed, and supervising the playground under guidance from teaching staff.

Applicants should have strong communication and listening abilities, a genuine interest in working with children who have special educational needs, and the capacity to collaborate within a team. A solid understanding of child protection principles and the skill to address concerns with staff and pupils are also essential. These permanent, part-time positions are offered on a pro-rata basis for 38 weeks each year, with one role requiring 10 hours weekly (midday to 2 pm, Monday to Friday) and the other 8 hours weekly (midday to 2 pm, Monday to Thursday). The role may involve occasional travel to other school sites, though staff are normally assigned to a specific location for the academic year.
