Ward Clerk

An opportunity exists for a Ward Clerk to join the floating administrative team at Bedford Hospital, part of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role is based at the Kempston Road site in Bedford and involves supporting clinical staff and patients across the ward environment. You will be expected to manage patient admissions and discharges, update IT systems with accurate data, and maintain records in line with health governance standards. The position offers a permanent contract within a supportive team structure, with access to training and development through the Trust’s established programmes.

The role requires someone with GCSE-level qualifications or equivalent, and prior experience in a customer-facing or reception role within a busy setting.
